Boris: (question to Bryce of Fuse Factory) How did you do the "Deep Worship"?
Bryce: We have found one key is to LIMIT it only to the people who are REALLY starved for creative worship and that are ready to dive into the presence of God the moment they walk in and are not limited by the "Art"... We tried opening it up broader (to more people) and even though the others who came truly love God and worship, they can become uncomfortable in pushing the limits of worship and hindered others by their insecurity to enter in as well. All that come are those who have been asking themselves the questions: What REALLY "is" worship and what can it be now that it is not. . .
Leading Worship: We avoid having a Person or or Group "Leading" the worship but create an atmosphere of worship that people can flow in and out of. Last time we had different instruments around the room and at different time different people broke into their own expression of worship, some people followed the expression... added to it... or just soaked in it.
Each time we try different things...
Sunday we will again have different instruments around, and we will kick it off with DJ Peach laying down some beats and we will project images with sound overlaying the beats and just see where it flows from there.
If this sound confusing, it is because we really do not know what we are doing! : }~ We want to push beyond what we "know" of getting into the presence of God in new levels of intimacy and expression of our Artistic offering to Him.

Andrew: Hi Boris, its been a few YEARS since we last saw you.
I like Bryce's description of how the worship is led, and yet is also spontaneous. There is leadership but there is not a "Leader" in the sense of one person, leading the worship from beginning to end.
Leadership happens;
like a drum circle - when one person adds his beat to what is already going on
like a jazz band - when one instrument leads for a moment and then gives way to another
like a hackey sack circle - when one finishes and passes it on, and yet no one takes it for the whole time
like a flock of geese - who follow the leader in one direction and then change position to follow another.
The Holy Spirit is able to lead the worship, and appoint the right people for the right moment. Scary, but it works. It looks like there is no structure but there is a deeper structure, a deeper organization that is invisible and mysterious, yet it is recognized by those who respond to it during the worship session.
BTW: people can experience the worship Bryce was talking about at his Maxlifeparty this Saturday in Lausanne, Switzerland.
