i am still here in the mountains in slovakia - our blessed 1984 volvo had second thoughts about starting up and subsequently had half a dozen slovak villagers peering into its inards, ripping out organs and trying to make it work. even replacing the spark plugs with those from another villager's skoda did not help. we now have a number of spare parts in the back of our volvo, like a fuel filter, that probably should not have been removed. well anyway, i got towed to a larger village, population at least 73, and a real mechanic is going to look deeply into our volvo's engine today - yesterday was the Three Kings holiday and the day before was sunday so obviously no one could help us.
but the people here are friendly and we are cozy warm in our log cabin while the weather has sub zero the entire time - the river next to us is half frozen -
sounds like a broken record, i know. our vehicles perform great in the cities but act up in the remote areas of the world, like here.
so, think of us here in zazriva, slovakia, waiting for our car to be fixed, adding logs to the fire in our cabin. thank God that we broke down in the driveway of the cabin and in a country that is quite cheap to stay in. i did not bring my computer so i cant do everything i need to do. but this tiny village has a computer with internet access, thus i am speaking to you now.
so, must go. talk at ya later.
