"Even in Northern Europe more and more people are expressing interest in religion – though not necessarily in the church. In the former communist countries, the tendency is clear: Religion’s “hibernation” through 70 years of scientific materialism is over, and it is once again plainly in view as a crucial part of citizen’s lives. The Dream Society does not exlude the possibility that the twentieth century will belong to religion, as the twentieth century belonged to science and technology.”
