News of my DAD - He is off-roading in his new wheelchair. Thanks to the cool church in QLD, Australia for the gift. You guys rock.
Here is the note from this morning:
"Dear Andrew & family, A joyous Christmas to you and a prosperous New Year in every way as you serve the Lord. Just an up-date on your Dad - we presented him with an electric wheelchair for Christmas - his face was a sight to behold - he couldn't stop grinning. It is approx 4 months since he first mentioned to us that he would like an electric wheelchair. We started praying about this and the Lord has answered our prayer - we also said to your Dad to join with us and pray. It's just so wonderful for him to see the hand of God in the whole thing. Straight away when the carers got your Dad into the chair he wanted his Acubra hat on and he was off!! It was a very emotional time, not only for your Dad but for staff who were there to see the 'event.' The next morning we went back out to see your Dad and he had been out & about & had got himself into the mud!! You should have seen the trail!! Fortunately the staff were very understanding. We soon had his room cleaned up and the wheels of the chair once more clean. We told him he wasn't to do any more off-roading! We are believing it will give him a whole new lease on life as he can now get himself around without having to wait for someone to push him. . . ."
Gooooo Dad!!!!!!
